Job summary

Equinix is seeking a senior Commercial Manager to oversee cost control across AMER expansion projects within the Global Design and Construction team. You will lead procurement, budgeting, and risk management with cross-functional partners in Design, Construction, Procurement, Finance, PMO, Legal and Corporate Development.

Role emphasizes proactive leadership to drive down costs, maintain internal controls, and manage contract risks across a multi-project portfolio with significant capex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, business, financial or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a Commercial Management role at a senior level.
• Demonstrated mission critical facility experience, strong preference for data center experience.
• Strong Excel, Power BI, Cost Management Tool skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of third-party consultants including Design, Commercial and Pre-Construction Services.
• Development of detailed RFPs and service deliverables for commercial management services.
• Day-to-day management of third-party commercial consultants to ensure timely delivery and high standards.
• Development of General Contractor and supplier procurement strategies with the Construction Management team.
• Working with Legal and COE to prepare General Contractor Contracts including negotiation of terms.
• Prepare annual and quarterly cashflow forecasts for active and pipeline projects.
• Prepare and oversee monthly reports for budget, cashflow, risk and change management.
