Job summary

Equinix seeks a Director, Commercial Management to lead oversight of expansion construction programs across the region. You will drive cost control, ensure financial discipline, and mitigate contract risks while aligning with governance and reporting requirements.

This role also manages the broader design and construction function, develops business cases, collaborates with legal and corporate development, and coaches a regional team of Commercial Managers to deliver industry-leading performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center or mission-critical design, construction and costing.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, business, financial or related field preferred.
• RICS Accreditation preferred.
• Royal Institute Chartered Surveyor credential referenced.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic oversight for planning and monitoring construction projects from start to completion.
• Monitors financial close-out on projects including vendor settlements.
• Reports status and key activities to senior management.
• Develops, manages and achieves key commercial metrics.
• Drives continuous improvement and best practices in cost management.
• Oversees commercial change management and evaluation across projects.
• Guides contracting strategy and procurement for design services and general contractor services.
• Resolves major contractual claims and disputes as they arise.
• Leads risk management efforts including audits, contingency analyses and training.
