Job summary

BECU seeks a strategic Manager of Compensation to shape our base pay and incentive programs across a nationwide footprint. You’ll partner with leaders to design fair structures, manage surveys, and drive aligned reward strategies that attract and retain talent.

You will coach teams, lead salary analyses, and ensure compliance while supporting M&A activities and organizational change. This role offers remote work with occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or equivalent required.
• 4 years of relevant compensation experience.
• 1 year of people management experience.
• Experience working with broad base compensation programs with application of conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Base Pay Programs: Oversee base pay programs including merit cycle and salary structures.
• Lead administration of annual incentive programs for employees and leaders.
• Advise business leaders on compensation issues and align strategies with business goals.
• Job design and evaluation: ensure descriptions, leveling, and titling meet needs.
• Manage salary surveys and evaluate data to stay competitive.
• Engage in performance management processes and system development.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to foster employee growth.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and integrations with compensation alignment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Stay informed on compensation trends and adjustments.
