Job summary

Mill Creek is seeking a Community Manager to drive financial performance, leasing excellence, and outstanding customer service across one or more communities in the Arlington, VA area.

You will lead operations and maintenance teams, set performance standards, coach and empower associates, and partner with leadership to achieve business outcomes while maintaining brand integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of multi-family property management experience.
• 2 years supervisory experience.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage finances for the assigned community to meet goals.
• Develop revenue programs and control expenses to maximize value.
• Oversee pricing and occupancy strategies.
• Assist in preparing community budgets.
• Provide monthly reforecast, operating reports, and executive summaries.
• Review contracts within budget authority.
• Coordinate capital improvements with the Service Manager.
• Oversee sales, lease renewals, move-in/out processes.
• Maintain inventory, pricing, and competitor knowledge.
• Ensure brand standards and compliance with laws.
• Recruit, hire, schedule, train, and evaluate associates.
• Coach and develop associates; hold one-on-one meetings.
• Enforce Mill Creek brand promise and service standards.
