Job summary

Key to Change is seeking a Communications & Development Manager to shape how we tell our story, raise funds, and move supporters toward action. You will manage storytelling, email campaigns, and donor stewardship, with Salesforce data quality and annual giving programs guiding your work.

You will collaborate across communications and development, analyze engagement, and drive improvements in conversion and donor retention while maintaining an engaging, audience-focused voice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of nonprofit development, communications, or related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with audience segmentation and calls to action.
• Professional CRM experience managing donors and fundraising activities.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling copy for the website, e-newsletters, fundraising appeals, donor communications, annual reports and program announcements.
• Translate mission and outcomes into audience-specific communications that inspire action.
• Develop email and digital campaigns with clear objectives, segmentation, testing and measurement.
• Maintain website content aligned with fundraising, enrollment and engagement goals.
• Track engagement metrics and optimize messaging, timing, and calls to action.
• Collaborate with the team to align social media, email, website and fundraising efforts.
