Job summary

Craft Alliance seeks a Development & Communications Director to lead fundraising and external communications from our St. Louis base. You will shape strategy, systems, and culture to grow philanthropic support, manage major gifts, grants, and membership, and align messaging with branding.

As senior leader on the Development team, you’ll oversee budget, analytics, and campaigns while partnering with marketing, events, and program staff to advance the organization’s mission in the community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience including major gifts and annual giving.
• Strong leadership, board collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; strong project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual development plan with revenue goals and KPIs.
• Manage a major donor portfolio and cultivate relationships at senior levels.
• Oversee foundations, corporations, and government grant activities and reporting.
• Operate DonorView CRM and generate dashboards to track revenue and pipeline progress.
• Collaborate with Marketing/Communications on messaging, storytelling, and campaigns.
• Represent Craft Alliance externally and provide strategic leadership for events and donor engagement.
