Job summary

Körber Pharma Packaging AG seeks a Commodity Manager Specialist to develop sourcing strategies and manage key suppliers across North American operations in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

You will lead negotiations, drive cost savings, and optimize total landed costs while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Finance to support growth and procurement excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Admin, Operations or related field.
• 5+ years in commodity management, strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics or supply chain.
• Strong experience in contracting, cost reduction and TCO optimization.
• Knowledge of transportation, freight, warehousing, 3PL and supply risk management.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with growth and operations.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost savings, value engineering, and total landed cost reduction.
• Establish supplier/logistics partnerships with scorecards and reviews.
• Evaluate supplier performance, capacity, financials, and risk; drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project teams to improve logistics readiness and lead times.
• Monitor market risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Analyze spend and KPIs; communicate savings to leadership.
