Job summary

SouthState Bank seeks an experienced Commercial Banking professional responsible for developing new business in a SouthState metro market. You will manage a high-level loan and deposit portfolio, analyze credit worthiness, and compile complete loan packages for approval.

The role includes cross-functional collaboration to deliver banking solutions and ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in business/finance/banking and 5–10 years of commercial lending

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking or related field required.
Minimum of 5-10 years commercial lending experience.
In-depth knowledge of Federal and State lending regulations and bank policies.
Strong sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Actively develops new business in a SouthState metro market.
Manages a high-level loan and deposit portfolio with superior client service.
Underwrites loan requests within bank policies and coordinates with Credit partners for approval.
Maintains and services assigned loan portfolio and ensures documentation is complete.
Prices loan and deposit products according to current Bank pricing guidelines.
Builds and maintains relationships with clients and COIs to enhance market presence.
