Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking an experienced commercial lender to grow loan and deposit portfolios within a SouthState metro market. You will develop consultative relationships, underwrite loans, and manage ongoing client credit and documentation, ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of commercial lending experience, strong credit analysis skills, and proven sales and relationship-building abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking or related field is required.
• Minimum 5-10 years commercial lending experience; includes loan structuring and credit analysis responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of Bank products, services, procedures and lending regulations; familiarity with local business community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in a business development plan to increase loan and deposit portfolio for commercial clients.
• Develop consultative relationships to deliver banking solutions.
• Underwrite loan requests and ensure packages are accurate for credit approval.
• Manage and service assigned loan portfolio; ensure proper documentation.
