Job summary

SouthState Bank seeks a commercial banking professional to develop new business in a SouthState metro market and manage a high-value loan and deposit portfolio. You will analyze financial information to assess creditworthiness, structure loans, and cross-sell banking products while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include underwriting loan requests, coordinating with Credit, Treasury, and Wealth teams, and delivering superior client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking or related field required.
• Minimum of 5–10 years commercial lending experience; includes loan structuring and credit analysis responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of bank lending products and regulations; familiarity with the local business community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively develops new business in a SouthState metro market and grows loan/deposit portfolio.
• Develop consultative relationships to deliver banking solutions to prospects and clients.
• Underwrite loans within policy, ensuring complete packages for credit approval.
• Manage and service assigned loan portfolio with compliance to regulations.
• Provide superior service to existing clients and build strong COI relationships.
