Ports America Chesapeake seeks a Commercial Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the port's cargo business development, client engagement, and strategic relations with shipping lines, cargo owners, and public authorities.

The role directs commercial operations, oversees budgeting and P&L, and partners with operations and engineering to achieve growth while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree as listed and equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive management experience.
• Expertise in terminal operations and planning.
• Experience with labor management and union contracts.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial operations and drive client engagement and growth.
• Manage relationships with Maryland Port Administration, BCOs, shipping lines.
• Represent Ports America Chesapeake with government agencies and industry groups.
• Develop customer relationships and exceed partner needs.
• Oversee budgeting and P&L within approved limits.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to align business plans.
• Lead communications, public affairs, and crisis communications.
• Ensure compliance with policies and reporting obligations.
