Salem Five Insurance seeks an energetic sales professional to grow our personal and commercial book. Based in any of our MA offices (Woburn, Danvers, Gloucester, Plymouth, or Norwood), you will generate new business and manage renewals while collaborating with account managers and banking partners.

You will develop and execute sales plans, build strong client relationships, and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Proven history of success in sales, preferably in insurance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prospect, market, sell and close new business.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships with diligence.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Agency Management Systems, insurance rating software, MS Office and internet-based tools.
• Resident Property and Casualty license, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Generate new organic business and maintain renewal book.
• Monitor renewal retention and address service/pricing issues to retain clients.
• Collaborate with Commercial Lines Account Managers to deliver service and retain risks.
• Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan to support agency growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with banking partners to identify cross-selling opportunities and build relationships.
• Develop and maintain a prospect list aligned with targeted personal lines segments.
• Contact prospects, schedule appointments, and conduct sales presentations to convert opportunities.
• Coordinate production efforts with marketing, underwriting, and service personnel for new business.
• Complete all required documentation prior to submission to carriers or internal marketing teams.
• Conduct periodic meetings with Account Managers, Operations, and Marketing for pipeline updates.
• Arrange payment terms per agency credit and collection policies.
• Assist in gathering renewal information and delivering renewal proposals and binders.
• Balance production to achieve desired mix of business and carrier priorities.
• Stay current on industry trends and sales techniques; participate in trainings.
