Directions Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Loan Underwriter to evaluate business loan requests by analyzing financial statements, tax returns, collateral, cash flow and repayment ability. You'll prepare detailed credit analyses and recommendations to support lending decisions.

You'll work with commercial lenders and portfolio management to structure solutions, identify risks, and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, while supporting the credit union's members.

Formación

• Bachelor or better in Banking & Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years in commercial credit analysis or underwriting.
• Experience in portfolio management or related financial services.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze commercial loan requests by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.
• Prepare clear credit presentations summarizing financial condition, risks, collateral, and recommended structure.
• Evaluate loan requests against internal policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with commercial lenders, portfolio management, and other teams to gather information and support decisions.
• Identify and communicate key credit risks and exceptions to covenants or lending policies.
• Recommend loan terms, covenants, risk ratings, and approval requirements based on financial risk.
• Maintain credit documentation and support loan renewals, reviews, modifications.
