Job summary

7 17 Credit Union seeks an experienced Director of Commercial Credit to lead our Commercial Credit function and support growth in our lending portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing underwriting, credit analysis, and policy development, with responsibility for both a high-performing team and a personal loan pipeline.

The candidate will partner with Relationship Managers and senior leadership to ensure accurate risk assessments, timely decisions, and compliant lending practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• Proven experience in commercial credit and underwriting leadership.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily commercial credit operations and underwriting pipeline.
• Manage a personal underwriting book while overseeing team work.
• Develop credit policies, risk assessments, and reporting for committees.
