Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Sr Manager - A/R Recovery to maximize collections from non-active accounts or bankruptcies. The role leads PARS/GENPACT teams, guides attorneys, and reports results, shaping P&L impact of recovery activities.

The candidate will direct field recovery efforts, code bad debt in accounting systems, and determine optimal recovery paths across agencies, attorneys, and in-house options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 8 years of collection and bad debt recovery experience preferred.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office; ability to research debtor strength.
• Ability to execute dynamic collections calls and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions and determine best recovery path for bad debt.
• Coach and support PARS / GENPACT team.
• Provide direction to outside attorneys for collections cases.
• Prepare reporting and project P&L impact of bad debt recovery.
• Guide Field on severely delinquent customers.
• Code bad debt in accounting systems.
• Choose placement (agency, attorney, or in-house) for best recovery.
• Lead agencies/attorneys through collections or litigation.
• Manage portfolio: decide on litigation, settlement, or write-offs.
• Enter discussions with debtors to negotiate settlements.
• Handle other assigned projects.
