Job summary

BILL is hiring a Collections Manager to lead a team of collections analysts focused on recovery and exposure reduction. You will oversee performance, coaching, and QA, while driving process improvements through new tooling and automation.

The role requires 5+ years in collections or credit risk with 2+ years of team leadership, plus experience with CRM systems and reporting. Remote-eligible, with strong collaboration across Risk, Product, and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in collections or credit risk operations and 2+ years leading a team.
• Proven track record achieving recovery and exposure targets.
• Experience hiring and developing junior to mid-level ICs.
• Comfort with CRM, spreadsheets, and reporting; openness to AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily performance of a collections team including recovery outcomes and SLA adherence.
• Lead the operating rhythm: queueing, case assignment, huddles, and coaching docs.
• Set clear expectations and address performance issues early.
• Hire and onboard junior and mid-level analysts; drive interview processes.
• Guide Individual Development Plans and foster continuous learning.
• Lead through tooling changes and automation, aligning to strategy.
• Contribute to project planning and cross-functional collaboration with Risk, Product, Compliance, and Customer Support.
• Report team performance with accurate, decision-ready data.
