Job summary

Highmark Inc. in Blue Bell, PA is seeking a strategic Account Manager to manage a book of business and renewals for existing accounts, with opportunity to upsell and grow profitable relationships.

The role is primarily remote with onsite presence one day per week; travel 25% - 50%. You will build senior-level partnerships, develop sales plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver client strategy and ensure retention.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• State specific Producer Licenses for Life, Accident & Health required or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• 2 years of Account/Client Management experience or other relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review new products, services, capabilities, and technologies with the client to sell product lines, renewals and add-ons to ensure retention and growth.
• Manage relationships at senior levels with clients, consultants and brokers/producers by creating valued partnerships and an active network.
• Develop sales solutions considering competition and political environment.
• Develop, implement and execute business plans and metrics for retaining and growing membership while improving profitability and cross-selling.
• Conduct routine service calls and serve as the primary Group contact for strategic planning.
• Support customers during implementation of sales contracts and advocate for escalated service issues.
• Prepare reports and documents for renewal and sales presentations.
• Lead internal partners in delivering client strategy and develop territory action plans and long-term accounts strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
