Job summary

Schaefer seeks a Client Development Manager in the United States to build and expand client partnerships, drive strategic initiatives, and support growth across the industry. You will partner with leadership, operations, and the client development leader to identify opportunities and guide business development that strengthens Schaefer’s market presence.

You will lead BD efforts, mentor teammates, and collaborate with marketing and other functions to deliver superior client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required.
• 8–10 years in client development, BD, or marketing
• Experience in A/E/C, CRE or economic development preferred.
• Strong relationships within development, owner and architectural communities.
• Active involvement in industry groups (ULI/NAIOP/SMPS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and support strategic growth initiatives and marketing plans.
• Build strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and community orgs.
• Identify new business opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Lead BD efforts including client meetings and project pursuits.
• Collaborate with marketing/operations on proposals and client strategies.
• Maintain CRM activity and provide lead generation insights.
• Mentor team members on BD best practices and client engagement.
