Job summary

Marsh McLennan is seeking a Client Manager in California to provide expert health and welfare benefits guidance, manage client and carrier relationships, and coordinate renewal and new business presentations. You will analyze utilization and claims data, review RFPs, and mentor Analysts while ensuring compliant, polished client materials.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience providing group health and benefits sales or service
• Bachelor degree strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex topics
• Knowledge of employee health insurance carriers, plan features and costs
• CA Life and Disability License with CE requirements
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create tables, charts and pivot tables

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial point of contact for Clients, Carriers and others on the Client Service Team
• Review RFPs and prepare responses
• Analyze utilization reports, carrier reports and claims data
• Coordinate 5500 data and COBRA/HIPAA activities
• Guide Benefit Analysts in gathering census and benefit information
• Present renewal and new business materials to clients and executives
• Ensure materials are accurate, compliant and professional
• Maintain client files per policy and Marsh McLennan standards
• Explain client needs and design recommendations to address issues
• Participate in renewal meetings to learn client needs and challenges
• Conduct employee open enrollment meetings
• Resolve routine client service issues regarding benefits
