Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in the United States seeks a Technical Specialist to join the Strategic Resolution Group Claim team. You will handle complex toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct and environmental claims with significant financial exposure under general supervision.

With responsibility for moderate to large exposure claims, you will develop strategies to resolve efficiently while meeting protocols and delivering top‑notch customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years claim handling or related field experience preferred.
• Licensing may be required to comply with state and Travelers requirements; obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze policies for coverage and liability in complex claims.
• Investigate claim facts, determine liability, and evaluate damages with evolving concepts.
• Develop strategic file plans, manage counsel engagement, and coordinate settlements.
• Maintain strong relationships with accounts and provide regular updates.
• Estimate financial exposures and support defense budgeting.
• Maintain organized claim files and comply with data accuracy standards.
• May participate in training, mentoring and interviews.
