Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in the United States seeks a Major Case Specialist for the Strategic Resolution Group. You will handle complex toxic tort, latent injury, environmental, and excess claims with high exposure, applying advanced legal knowledge across jurisdictions to resolve matters efficiently and effectively.

You will manage coverages, liability analyses, and litigation strategies, mentoring teammates and coordinating with underwriters to support policyholders while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of toxic tort, latent injury, environmental claim and coverage determination experience.
• Licensing may be required to comply with state and Travelers rules.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex claims with independence, including strategic resolution.
• Research coverage and analyze complex policy issues and exclusions.
• Investigate liability, assess damages, and provide guidance on loss reserves.
• Develop and execute strategic file management with counsel and experts.
• Attend meetings, settlements, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Lead account management and coach others to ensure consistent handling.
