Job summary

Tohono O’odham Community College (TOCC) seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead HR for two campuses and a satellite center. This full-time, exempt role reports to the President and drives recruitment, development, compliance, and policy administration.

The CHRO will oversee HR budgets, supervise staff, and collaborate with college leadership to support an inclusive campus culture. A bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 5+ years HR experience with leadership are required; bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field from a regionally accredited college.
• Five years of professional HR experience, with at least two in a management role.
• Equivalent combination of education, HR certifications, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement recruitment, development, and retention strategies.
• Direct internal HR operations, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating personnel programs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, including Title IX and other protections.
• Develop and maintain campus-wide personnel policies and procedures.
• Oversee HR budgets and participate in compensation and benefit recommendations.
