Job summary

Susquehanna University seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead HR as a strategic partner, driving talent, rewards, compliance, analytics and development aligned to the university mission. The CHRO reports to the Vice President for Operations and serves on the Senior Leadership team, with responsibilities spanning payroll, Title IX oversight and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• SHRM certification with Workplace Investigation Specialty within first year of employment.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership across HR functions (talent management, total rewards, employee relations, compliance, workforce analytics, training and development, performance management, payroll).
• Oversee Title IX Coordinator and related responsibilities.
• Lead workforce planning, leadership development, and AI readiness initiatives.
• Foster an inclusive culture and equitable conflict resolution through strong listening and communication.
