Job summary

Tohono O’odham Community College (TOCC) invites you to apply for the position of Academic Advising & Career Specialist. This is a full-time, exempt position in the Academic Advising department, reporting to the Academic Advisor Manager.

You will advise students on academic requirements, support career opportunities after graduation, and help facilitate partnerships with employers and community organizations. The role may involve evening or weekend events and requires collaboration across campus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting.
• Professional customer service and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise TOCC students on academic programs, degrees, certificates, and transfer pathways.
• Monitor advising email and direct students to campus resources.
• Help facilitate advising events, transfer events, and training.
• Collaborate with campus community to provide career opportunity information.
• Support core values and working together initiatives.
