Job summary

Scale AI in Washington DC is seeking a Chief of Staff for Public Sector to partner with the VP, Public Sector Engineering & Security, driving strategic initiatives and the operating rhythm of the unit. You will lead planning, cross-functional programs, and executive reporting.

You will own complex projects, build trusted relationships across the organization, and help scale AI applications for national security and public sector growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in strategic, analytical, and operational roles.
• Experience in consulting, venture capital, or tech is a plus.
• MBA, JD, or technical degree from a top program preferred.
• Ability to translate complex information for executive audiences.
• Strong initiative, scrappy mindset and outcomes orientation.

Responsibilities

• Act as an extension of the VP by attending key meetings and supporting client development and special projects.
• Run strategic planning for the business unit and align senior leadership on priorities.
• Own operational rhythms, leadership meetings and executive deliverables.
• Oversee executive-level reporting and liaise with finance, communications, marketing, and legal.
• Report to the VP, Engineering & Security of Scale’s Public Sector unit.
