Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a senior communications leader to manage executive positioning, change management communications, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid Pittsburgh role. You will guide strategy, oversee staff, and ensure brand alignment with the organization's mission and goals.

You will partner with executive leadership, develop messaging across channels, and lead transformational initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with employees, vendors, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• 7+ years in health care, health insurance, IT, or large corporate communications.
• 5+ years leading large corporate communication programs and acting as spokesperson.
• 3+ years demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, rewards, and performance management.
• Direct day-to-day operations of the department within budgetary and strategic constraints.
• Contribute to annual strategic plans and direct messaging development.
• Manage crisis situations and develop rapid response plans with business partners.
• Consult with executive leadership to craft communications strategies and engagement plans.
• Lead writers/consultants to ensure brand standards and strategic alignment.
• Oversee internal communication channels and integration of new formats.
• Own the communication analytics and reporting strategy for leadership.
