Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a senior strategist to identify, develop, and direct a portfolio of projects aimed at improving admin costs, processes, and patient/provider experiences. You will own project execution, drive deliverables, and influence stakeholders across a heavily matrixed organization.

The role requires extensive consulting experience, leadership across teams, and a strong capability to apply financial and analytical rigor to drive transformation within healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, Information Technology, or closely related discipline
• Substitutions: None
• Preferred: Master’s degree
• 10 years’ experience in Strategy, Operations, M&A, or Human Capital Practice of a consulting firm or similar consulting-based role in a corporate/PE environment
• 7 years of management experience and/or leading teams/projects of varying size and complexity
• 7 years of experience in complex, matrixed environments or across multiple businesses
• 5 years of aggregate project experience in Healthcare (payor/provider)
• Lean Six Sigma or Human Centered Design (HCD) certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform management responsibilities including hiring/termination decisions, coaching, rewards, performance management and staff productivity
• Drive P&L and strategic value for the enterprise through the division’s portfolio of projects
• Identify, scope, prioritize, and deliver large- and small-scale consulting projects that advance business outcomes
