J.B. Hunt in Lowell, Arkansas, is seeking a Capacity Procurement Representative to negotiate carrier rates, grow the carrier base, and ensure on-time freight movement.

You will work with internal teams to provide best-in-class transportation solutions and maintain accurate shipment records using Carrier360. The role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills, with flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills applied internally and externally.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and carriers.
• Demonstrated accuracy in analyzing situations and making informed decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate optimal purchase rates to meet revenue and margin goals.
• Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers.
• Manage freight in transit and obtain updates to monitor movement and on-time pickup/delivery.
• Utilize Carrier360 to tender loads and maintain shipment records.
• Proactively communicate service issues to minimize costs and disruptions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure best-in-class service and safety.
• Leverage Carrier360 to expand carrier base and increase efficiency.
• Verify carrier authenticity and tracking prior to pickup.
