J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Capacity Procurement Representative to negotiate carrier rates and ensure freight coverage that meets load expectations while maintaining strong margins.

The role includes marketing Carrier360 to carriers, establishing a carrier base, and delivering best-in-class service execution with attention to on-time performance and safety. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
• Bachelor's in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsabilités

• Negotiate with carriers for optimal purchase rate to meet revenue and profit margin goals
• Act as liaison between internal business stakeholders and carriers
• Manage all freight in transit by obtaining updates from carriers to monitor movement and ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Utilize Carrier360 Platform to tender loads and maintain records of shipments and customer details
• Communicate service failures to internal support teams to minimize cost and inefficiencies
• Partner with internal teams to promote best-in-class service and safety
• Leverage Carrier360 platform to increase efficiency and automation
• Verify authenticity of carriers and tracking prior to pickup
• Stay current on market trends to optimize negotiation tactics
• Understand customer service expectations to propose transportation solutions promptly
