Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Capture to build and scale our capture organization.

You will guide a team of Capture Managers, own our companywide capture process, and personally lead strategic pursuits from opportunity identification to award. You will partner with business development, systems engineers, and spacecraft engineers to craft compelling, compliant proposals and improve win probability across high-value opportunities.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
• 8+ years of experience in capture management, proposal development, or BD, preferably in satellite manufacturing.
• Experience building, leading, and managing capture or BD teams.
• Experience owning large captures and winning complex, high-value pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and manage a team of Capture Managers with coaching and development.
• Own and mature the companywide capture process, standards, tooling, and gate reviews.
• Lead major captures from identification through proposal submission and award.
• Develop capture/win strategies aligned with customer needs and company capabilities.
• Analyze mission requirements and competitive landscape to shape winning solutions.
• Collaborate with BD, systems engineers, and spacecraft engineers to define architectures.
• Produce and guide the technical content for proposals for core products.
• Ensure proposals meet RFP/BAA requirements and are compliant.
• Lead customer meetings and presentations to improve win probability.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers to boost opportunities.
• Identify technical/competitive risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Create a library of reusable content and capture best practices.
• Mentor teams on space proposal and capture development best practices.
