Job summary

Hylant, a leading insurance brokerage, seeks an Account Executive to lead a captive account team and serve as a strategic advisor to clients. You will coach a group of captive professionals, manage performance, and drive operational excellence across client engagements.

You will interact with boards and senior leadership, presenting financial outcomes and guiding long-term objectives. This role demands travel and proven relationship management within captive insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Seven or more years in captive insurance, auditing, risk management, or captive management.
• CPA/CPCU/ACIA/ARM/ACI or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
• Strong understanding of captive insurance operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage complex client relationships and multiple priorities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience presenting to boards of directors and executive leadership.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, engage, and manage a team of account managers in talent functions including recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Provide executive relationship management and strategic guidance for captive clients.
• Lead client, board, and stakeholder meetings with financial and operational results.
• Oversee complex client engagements and resolve escalated issues.
• Drive process improvements and ensure service and compliance deadlines.
• Oversee financial reporting, regulatory filings, and risk management activities.
• Collaborate with auditors, actuaries, legal counsel, and regulators.
• Support business growth through client retention, proposals, and industry involvement.
