Job summary

P&C Recruiting and HR is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee capital project procurement, supplier selection, and contract management. You will ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials, negotiate favorable terms, and guide a purchasing team.

The role focuses on developing procurement strategies, reducing costs, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of contracts and supply chain management. Capital project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital project purchasing and contract management for projects.
• Source and vet suppliers for quality, price, reliability, and ethics.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Manage vendor contracts to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and on-time performance.
• Develop procurement strategies to optimize costs and reduce risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Forecast demand and monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Track purchasing metrics and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with project teams and staff, including training and management of buyers.
