Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Manager for Manufacturing Capital Equipment focused on CNC machining.

You will own end-to-end sourcing of machine tools, identify suppliers, run RFQ/RFP processes, model total cost of ownership, and drive award decisions that influence cycle times and cost per part at volume. You will lead complex negotiations with OEMs and service providers, manage long-lead equipment commitments, and partner with engineering to ensure capability and tolerance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or procurement in manufacturing/industrial automation
• Experience managing capital equipment procurement programs and vendor portfolios for complex environments
• Experience leading contract negotiations with OEMs/equipment manufacturers for high-value agreements
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, procurement frameworks, or SOPs
• Experience sourcing machine tools, precision metalworking equipment or related automation

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end capital equipment sourcing including supplier identification, market analysis, RFQ/RFP, TCO modeling, and award decisions for multi-axis CNC machining centers and related tooling
• Lead complex negotiations with OEMs and service providers, including pricing, terms, warranties, SLAs, and run-at-rate agreements
• Own machining equipment commitment calendar and mitigate schedule risks with slot reservations or alternate suppliers
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineering on machine capability, tolerance, surface finish, and hardness requirements
• Develop scalable procurement frameworks, SOPs, and mentoring for sourcing teams
• Establish supplier performance programs with scorecards, SLAs, and regular business reviews
• Manage capital budgets with cost controls and inventory considerations
• Coordinate cross-functional planning to align procurement with site milestones
