Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Global Supply Management professional to lead sourcing strategies for capital equipment in global manufacturing and expansion projects. You will drive cost savings, manage RFQs/RFPs, and collaborate across Engineering, PMO, Operations, Finance, and suppliers to ensure on-time project delivery.

The role demands 5+ years in manufacturing or procurement, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, engineering, supply management, or procurement.
• Technical curiosity and ability to learn how equipment used to manufacture Corning products works.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar negotiations and supplier relationships across cost, quality, schedule, service, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy development and execution for capital equipment.
• Manage RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations and supplier selection.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, PMO, Operations, Finance and suppliers to ensure delivery.
• Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and capital efficiency via TCO analysis, benchmarking and VE.
• Oversee procurement execution including purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery schedules, issue resolution.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance reviews, audits, capability assessments, continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply, commercial, schedule, and technology risks while ensuring policy compliance.
• Support supplier development, qualification of new technologies, supplier-base optimization, and continuity efforts.
