Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Capital Equipment Commodity Manager to own strategy, sourcing, and supplier relationships for capital equipment across manufacturing, test, and facilities. You will manage high-value, long-lead acquisitions—from CNC machines to test infrastructure—working with engineering, facilities, and finance to hit schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of procurement or commodity management experience, with direct ownership of capital equipment or CapEx sourcing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, high-value sourcing events and negotiate capital equipment contracts.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the commodity strategy for capital equipment spend across manufacturing, test, and facilities operations.
• Lead sourcing events such as defining requirements, issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and recommending awards.
• Build and maintain a qualified supplier base for precision manufacturing equipment, test and measurement systems, and facilities infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, leverage preferred suppliers, and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Serve as the primary commercial owner of capital equipment supplier relationships through sourcing to delivery and warranty.
• Negotiate contracts with terms on pricing, milestones, delivery, acceptance, and spare parts.
• Manage supplier performance and resolve schedule, quality, or cost issues.
• Coordinate with legal on contract structure and terms for major acquisitions.
• Partner with engineering and facilities during equipment specification to align sourcing with technical needs.
