Lockheed Martin is seeking a CNC Machining Capability Project Engineer in Texas to evaluate, select, and develop external machining suppliers for complex CNC milling and turning work. You will translate capability data into sourcing decisions to drive cost savings and risk reduction, partnering with Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Operations.

Responsibilities include leading supplier technical evaluations, reviewing RFQ/RFPs, and serving as the machining technical authority in source

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of engineering experience.
• PM/PRINCE2 or advanced degree preferred.
• Expertise in CAD/CAE, GD&T, BOM management, and PLM/ERP tools; strong Earned Value, risk registers, and schedule control.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical assessments of machining suppliers (3–5 axis).
• Review RFQ/RFP drawings and match suppliers to requirements.
• Participate in source selection as machining technical authority.
• Provide hands-on machining expertise to support supplier development and performance.
