Job summary

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team. You will plan and purchase raw materials to support cable assembly operations, ensuring inventory is balanced with production demand while controlling costs and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to align material availability with schedules, manage purchase orders, resolve shortages, and contribute to process improvements across procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing/materials planning experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt to production requirements.
• Procure raw materials, MRO, and services at optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
• Coordinate supplier performance and resolve shortages or disruptions.
• Maintain data integrity within ERP systems and support cost-reduction initiatives.
