Job summary

FOGG, part of ProMach, is seeking a Buyer to manage the procurement of capital and non-capital items for production. The role collaborates with engineering to ensure parts accuracy and timely delivery, while developing sources of supply for non-production and production goods.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business/Logistics (or equivalent), a Mechanical Engineering background is a plus, and experience with MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Logistics or equivalent required.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Proficient MS Excel; strong written and verbal communication; solid organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional overnight travel (<5%).
• Team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials to support manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate supplier base to ensure lead time, pricing, quality and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate contract terms with senior management directives.
• Evaluate blueprints and provide vendor feedback to engineering.
• Evaluate and select suppliers, including site visits as needed.
• Maintain supplier data and generate purchase orders using the system.
