Job summary

Fogg Filler Company LLC, part of ProMach, seeks a dynamic Buyer to manage the purchasing of capital and non-capital items for production. You will source, negotiate, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a business or engineering background, strong MS Excel skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented setting, with occasional supplier visits and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics Management, or equivalent.
• Two years business experience preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• MS Excel proficiency and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sources and procures materials and services to support manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinates supplier base to assure lead time, pricing, quality and on-time delivery to meet objectives.
• Negotiates terms and conditions with suppliers in line with senior management directives.
• Evaluates supplier selection, including site visits to suppliers and potential suppliers.
• Maintains purchase order contracts and supplier data in the purchasing system.
• Initiates alternative sourcing methods to obtain competitive pricing while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Directs parts to appropriate area of manufacturing.
