Job description

As a Strategic Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies that promote Honeywell's specifications and adoption of our comprehensive building automation solutions within the education sector.

This role requires a proactive hunter capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with key influencers and stakeholders, including Architects & Engineers (A&E), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms, and senior end-user executives. You will serve as a liaison with engineering, general contractors, and other project influencers to understand project scopes and educate clients to ensure all relevant Honeywell products are specified, meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

The position is remote, with 50-60% travel, covering the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho. The ideal candidate should reside within one of these states.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develop relationships with key stakeholders by educating and consulting to increase consideration, specification, and adoption of Honeywell solutions.
  2. Establish and nurture C-level relationships within at least 10 major end-user organizations, positioning yourself as a trusted partner for life safety solutions.
  3. Participate actively in local, regional, and national trade associations to educate stakeholders on Honeywell technologies.
  4. Sponsor and deliver educational sessions as a subject matter expert (SME).
  5. Collaborate with other Honeywell divisions to support joint efforts within shared vertical markets.
COMPENSATION

The annual base salary ranges from $100,000 to $130,000, varying by location and other factors. This position is eligible for incentive plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer success, account management, or business development.
  • Experience with building automation solutions.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and grow pipelines.
VALUED SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in the education vertical.
  • Experience working with C-level clients.
