Job summary

WaFd Bank is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Manager I to grow and manage commercial client relationships in the United States. You will develop a calling plan to expand existing accounts, win new relationships, and coordinate with loan officers, processors and treasury specialists to deliver credit and non-credit solutions.

The role requires proven success in expanding business banking relationships, strong credit understanding, and the ability to work with a centralized underwriting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; courses in finance, accounting and real estate analysis for commercial banking.
• Negotiating experience, accuracy, strong organizational skills and attention to detail with diverse banking clients.
• Effective verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with nCino and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Engages in business development and solicitation of new prospects; maintains prospecting efforts and meets with customers to discuss needs and solutions.
• Establish and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended, including costs, repayment method, schedule and collateral requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of non-credit products and lead client engagement to uncover opportunities and solutions.
• Perform portfolio management responsibilities, monitor financial reporting, and ensure compliance with covenants.
