Job summary

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge between software development and business operations. You will gather requirements, draft functional specs, and drive UAT frameworks, ensuring alignment with operational needs and complex pension configurations.

Hybrid role with on-site Seattle presence three days a week; strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this environment and support the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems or a related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in business analysis or technical systems support, with additional experience in software testing/QA.
• Knowledge of pension plan administration preferred; ability to master complex pension system configurations and compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (emotional intelligence).
• Strong analytical, quantitative and troubleshooting abilities; capability to perform root cause analysis.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office tools with advanced skills in Visio, Project, SharePoint and Access.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit clear requirements through sessions.
• Translate and write detailed functional specifications, system change documentation and process workflows.
• Review complex business processes to determine if new systems meet needs.
• Serve as a liaison between business users and development teams to ensure alignment.
• Craft wireframes and interactive prototypes of screens, dashboards and reporting interfaces.
• Produce and maintain high-quality documentation including requirements, specs, and process flows.
• Provide ongoing functional and technical support to the business.
