This role partners closely with pension administration staff, subject matter experts, IT teams, software vendors, and project teams to identify business needs, document and translate requirements, analyze system functionality, support testing, resolve issues, and implement system improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Gather, analyze, document, validate, and manage business and system requirements.
  • Lead stakeholder interviews, working sessions, requirements workshops, document reviews, and other requirements-gathering activities.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate requirements reviews, resolve ambiguities, document decisions, and obtain stakeholder approval.
  • Maintain traceability between business needs, requirements, system changes, testing activities, defects, and implemented solutions.
Pension Administration System Support
  • Provide business analysis support for the day-to-day operation and ongoing enhancement of the pension administration system.
  • Analyze pension administration processes and system functionality to identify the source and impact of production issues, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and software vendors to investigate, resolve, test, and communicate system issues.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on pension business rules, benefit calculations, workflows, data, correspondence, reports, interfaces, security roles, and operating procedures.
  • Assist with the review and validation of system configurations and vendor-delivered changes.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, detailed test scripts, test data, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Document test results and evidence and identify, report, track, and retest defects through resolution.
  • Coordinate testing activities across business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Confirm implemented solutions meet approved requirements and support intended business processes.
Process Improvement
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, control, and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through improved system functionality, workflow changes, automation, or clearer procedures.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes.
  • Support communications, training, procedure updates, and change-management activities associated with system enhancements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform data analysis supporting operations, issue resolution, testing, reconciliation, and business decisions.
  • Review and validate data involving member records, service credit, pension calculations, beneficiaries, payments, and other pension administration information.
  • Assist with data reconciliation, data-quality reviews, and validation of reports and interfaces.
  • Use Excel, reporting, query, or analytical tools to identify patterns, exceptions, and potential data issues.
  • Participate in pension system enhancements, maintenance, upgrades, and related technology initiatives.
  • Support requirements, solution reviews, testing, deployment, post-implementation validation, and transition to ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate activities across business units, technical teams, and external software vendors.
  • Identify and communicate risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and project status.
Required Qualifications
