The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking a Budget and Finance Analyst in Claremont, CA. This role partners with campus departments to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and support executive decision-making.

You will lead planning, forecasting, and reporting, and serve as the functional lead for Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning. Ideal candidates will have five or more years of budgeting/financial analysis experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and

Qualifikationen

• Advanced knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP with applied accounting concepts.
• Ability to independently identify problems, gather information, and develop analytical approaches for practical solutions.
• Ability to research complex financial issues via trial balances, general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting docs.
• Exceptional written communication skills for executive reports, board narratives, and presentations.
• Prepare polished presentations using PowerPoint/Canva for executive audiences.
• Strong Excel proficiency and comfort with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and service excellence.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate significant components of the annual operating budget process including development, data collection, validation, and communication.
• Serve as primary budget liaison for departments, guiding budget development and policies.
• Maintain budget and forecasting models in Adaptive Planning and ensure data integrity.
• Develop financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and reserve projections for decision-making.
• Lead recurring financial reporting for departments, leadership, and committees.
• Prepare executive-quality Board schedules, analyses, and narratives.
• Provide training on Workday and reporting tools and improve financial processes.
• Act as trusted financial consultant to departments and partner with the Office of Financial Services.
• Record minutes for Board meetings and provide backup for critical Finance tasks.
