Job summary

California State University San Marcos is seeking a Budget Analyst, Shared Services Operations, to lead complex budget analysis, reporting, and forecasting for campus-wide shared services. The role requires deep knowledge of budgeting principles and the ability to train stakeholders on budget processes.

Reporting to the Sr Director of the University Budget Office, you will interact with leadership and staff, deliver periodic budget insights, and support HR/payroll budget actions while ensuring

Qualifications

Advanced budgeting skills and knowledge of budgeting policies and procedures.
Project management skills and organizational and stakeholder acumen.
Ability to provide consultation and training to campus constituents.

Responsibilities

Perform budget reporting to leadership and ongoing financial analysis.
Conduct recurring budget development, cost recovery analysis, and financial forecasting.
Assist with ad-hoc analyses to support campus leadership decisions and training of staff.
