Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal, Business Development to drive growth in autonomous undersea systems and submarine communications for the Washington, DC or Camden, NJ areas. The role focuses on building customer relationships, leading capture efforts, and advancing DoW and Navy programs with Shipley methodologies.

The ideal candidate has extensive BD leadership experience, DoD sector knowledge, and an active security clearance. Willingness to travel 25-30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with extensive relevant experience.
• Graduate degree preferred; alternative extensive experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Active US Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies to increase orders, bookings, and captures.
• Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Lead capture activities across the full BD lifecycle, including proposal development.
• Leverage DoW pathways (DIU, NRCO) to accelerate growth.
• Serve as SME on maritime, AUV, and submarine-communications capabilities.
• Present reviews and business cases to senior leadership.
• Conduct market intel and competitive assessments for strategic planning.
• Maintain accurate forecasts across key customers and portfolios.
