Job summary

Cognitive Research Corporation is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth in the CNS biopharma space. You will target key accounts, craft and execute sales strategies, and coordinate with clinical, scientific, and operations teams to close opportunities.

You will develop and deliver compelling proposals, manage relationships, and travel the assigned territory up to 10%. This leadership role requires exceptional communication and a track record of expanding CRO

Qualifications

BA/BS or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
4 years of business development experience in CRO and clinical research industries, or equivalent experience.
Knowledgeable in the interventional drug development process.
Experience developing accounts by effective networking and prospecting, building a sales pipeline, delivering creative proposals and opportunities.
Prior CRO or clinical site sales quota carrying history and target performance achievement.
Solid knowledge of drug development continuum.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic business development plan for target accounts to meet/advance objectives.
Make targeted sales calls and emails to prospective new clients to qualify and initiate relationships.
Create business opportunities through continual qualification and relationship building.
Utilize strategies and tactics to close qualified business.
Develop and implement territory and key account strategies for growth and retention.
Design and deliver solution-driven capabilities and proposal presentations with clinical and operations teams.
Support Proposals team in responses to RFPs/IRs.
Represent CRC at industry conferences and trade shows.
Provide intelligence on competitors, market positioning, and pricing.
Provide daily opportunity updates to CRM with probabilities, amounts, contacts, communications, timing.
Participate in weekly meetings reviewing sales pipeline and objectives.
Determine new approaches to problem-solving within scope of responsibility.
Able and willing to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Work autonomously and effectively, managing priorities with colleagues and clients.
