Job summary

Wiley & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data-driven decision making. You will own end-to-end ETL, build Power BI dashboards, and translate complex data into actionable insights for executives and teams.

Responsibilities include leading data extraction, transformation, loading, performing advanced SQL/BigQuery analyses, collaborating with stakeholders, and coaching analysts to elevate analytics capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Four or more years of relevant experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role.
• Working proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn data into a business story.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data used for analysis.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Microsoft Power BI that give the leadership team clear, data driven visualizations to support decision-making.
• Use SQL and BigQuery to run complex data queries and analyses, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and business improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, share insights, and support data driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical concepts and analytical findings clearly, adjusting the message for different audiences, including executives and team members.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices in data analysis, ETL processes, and dashboard development to build a strong, collaborative team.
