Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to partner with senior stakeholders and design analytics solutions. You will lead data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data quality initiatives, building automated processes and scalable data fabrics to support decision making across the organization.

In this role you will translate complex data into clear insights, collaborate with technology teams, and present results with modern visuals using Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on development experience with SQL and ETL tools.
• Advanced SQL capabilities; experience with very large data volumes is a plus.
• Strong data warehousing, ETL processing and dimensional modeling knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with reporting tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a financial or technical field, or equivalent work experience; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior stakeholders to break down business problems and design analytics solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for data modeling, ETL, and data quality.
• Design and build data pipelines to enable decision making through analytics.
• Develop automated solutions to replace manual data processes.
• Refine and enhance reporting data models.
• Champion data quality and coordinate with system owners to resolve issues promptly.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to gather requirements and evangelize analytics best practices.
• Present information accurately in charts, tables, maps with a clean, modern design aesthetic.
• Collaborate with technology teams to implement new analytical solutions and models.
• Translate data into accurate, concise, meaningful business insights.
