Job summary

Wiley is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Marketing Data, Analytics, and Reporting team. You will turn campaign and business data into insights that shape how Wiley invests in marketing across our publishing business. You’ll own data accuracy, present findings, and engage with stakeholders with confidence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL against multi-table datasets.
• Investigative mindset to trace discrepancies across data sources.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Genuine interest in academic publishing and marketing measurement is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain SQL in BigQuery across multiple campaign and CRM sources with schema sanity checks.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards with sources cited, methodology stated, and limitations flagged.
• Trace root causes by joining mismatches and attending ingestion gaps, not taking easy explanations.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, defending analyses under questioning.
• Work autonomously, documenting reasoning and making routine judgments while flagging blockers early.
